🔍 About the Role
We’re looking for a Sales Engineering Manager to lead, scale, and elevate our Sales Engineering function. You’ll start by managing a growing team of SEs and will work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Post-Sales to ensure technical excellence throughout the buyer journey. You’ll be responsible not only for leading people but also for building the infrastructure, tooling, and processes that drive technical pre-sales success.

We’re looking for a Sales Engineering Manager to lead, scale, and elevate our Sales Engineering function. You’ll start by managing a growing team of SEs and will work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Post-Sales to ensure technical excellence throughout the buyer journey. You’ll be responsible not only for leading people but also for building the infrastructure, tooling, and processes that drive technical pre-sales success.
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing Sales Engineers
- Conduct regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and live coaching to support both technical skill and business acumen
- Partner with AEs to ensure high-quality discovery, demo, and PoV execution
Operational Excellence
- Own and report key SE metrics: PoV win rate, SE utilization, demo success rate, and time-to-value
- Define and maintain demo environments, PoV templates, objection handling guides, and technical validation processes
- Evaluate and manage SE tooling to ensure team productivity
Cross-Functional Enablement
- Partner with Product to ensure SEs are trained on new features and product changes
- Own the process of updating demo scripts and standard playbooks based on roadmap changes
- Work with Marketing to integrate product positioning and competitive insights into SE workflows
- Collaborate with Post-Sales to ensure seamless handoff and feedback loops
- Work with product management to manage and deliver integrations
Strategic Impact
- Help define what great Sales Engineering looks like at our company
- Build the foundation for future SE hiring, onboarding, and enablement
- Be a thought partner to the COO and CRO on how SE can become a strategic differentiator in deals
Required
- US-based & US Citizen
- 2–5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting role, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of B2B SaaS and complex sales cycles (security, dev tools, or infrastructure experience a plus)
- Proven ability to coach others on discovery, demo delivery, and technical objection handling
- Experience building SE processes, documentation, and cross-functional workflows
Preferred
- US East Coast Time zone
- Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-changing environment
- Cybersecurity sales engineering experience
- Experience with demo environments, API integrations, or technical proof-of-value cycles
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as python
- Familiarity with basic SDLC processes to work with product on timelines for delivering integrations
